Sharing for viewing
How an owner uses “Share for viewing” and what a view user sees.
“Share for viewing” gives view-only access to a specific project. This is the safe way for a client or colleague to read the live reports.
Steps for the owner
- 1Check that the user has an account
If you are an administrator, the account is created in “Users”.
- 2Open the right project
Check the name and domain.
- 3Click “Share” / “Share for viewing”
Choose the exact user/email according to the form.
- 4Confirm the access
The project appears in the recipient’s “All projects”.
- 5Test the expectation
The recipient sees the data but not the manage actions.
- 6Remove when finished
Revoke the specific sharing without deleting the project or the user.
What a view user sees
- The dashboard and the modules.
- Filters, periods, history and the Helpbook.
- No paid checks, settings, delete or connections.
Questions & answers
Why can the client not click “Check rankings”?
