Getting started

Getting started

A practical route from your first login to rankings, traffic, AI visibility and a shared report.

WRS SEO organizes your work by website. Each website is a separate project, and inside it you will find Rankings, Traffic, Website Audit, Keywords, Competitors, Trends, AI Tracker and Settings. You do not need to activate everything at once.

Full onboarding in 10 steps

  1. 1
    1. Log in and look at “All projects”

This is the overall dashboard. If it is empty and you have manage rights, use “+ Create project”. If you are expecting a shared site, the owner needs to use “Share for viewing” with your account.

  2. 2
    2. Create the project

Enter a recognizable name and the exact domain. The five screens are “General information”, “Search engines”, “Keywords”, “Competitors” and “Statistics and analytics”. Details: Creating a project.

  3. 3
    3. Choose markets and devices

For each search engine pick the right country, language, Mobile and/or Desktop. The market describes the searching user, not the country of the hosting.

  4. 4
    4. Add a small, high-quality core

Start with 20–50 important phrases: categories, services, products and a few branded queries. Add more later from “Keywords”.

  5. 5
    5. Run the first SERP check

Open “Rankings” and click “Check rankings”. When it finishes you will see the mobile/desktop position, Ranking URL, distribution and history.

  6. 6
    6. Connect Search Console

In “Traffic” click “Connect Search Console”, choose the right property and then “Refresh GSC”. This brings in clicks, impressions, CTR and the GSC average position.

  7. 7
    7. Connect Analytics (optional)

Use “Connect Analytics”, choose the right GA4 property and “Refresh Analytics”. This brings in organic sessions, behavior, landing pages and AI assistant sessions.

  8. 8
    8. Set the AI policy

In “Settings” choose the AI frequency, scope and LLM engines. For a safe start use “On demand only” and “Selected keywords only”.

  9. 9
    9. Run AI and the audit when needed

In “AI Results Tracker” click “AI check”. In “Website Audit” click “Run audit”. These are separate checks and are not started by connecting Google.

  10. 10
    10. Set up a schedule and share

If you have the rights, create sensible schedules in Europe/Sofia time. For a client use “Share for viewing” to give view access without edit rights.

What to check after the first day

Rankings
Is there a last-check date, mobile/desktop numbers and the correct Ranking URL.
Traffic
Are the active GSC/GA connections visible, and up to which date has Google returned data.
AI Results Tracker
Is there at least one genuinely completed AI check for the selected phrases.
Website Audit
Are there crawled URLs and issues the team can actually fix.
Cost
In “Settings” review “Estimate / month” before you turn on daily checks.

Questions & answers

What is the minimum I need to get useful data today?

A project, the right market, at least one keyword and “Check rankings”. Google connections and AI can be added afterwards.

Why is the last day not today after a refresh?

GSC and GA have their own delay. SERP and AI results appear after the corresponding check completes.

How do I know I am only a guest?

You see the data, but the buttons for saving, deleting, running checks and connecting are missing. That is view access.

What does the demo banner mean?

The data may be sample data. Use it to learn the screens, but do not present it as a live report.
