Traffic
The full screen: periods, KPIs, chips, charts, folds, landings and AI assistants.
“Traffic” combines Search Console and Google Analytics, but keeps their meaning separate. Which KPIs you see depends on which connection is active.
Period
- 7 days
- A short operational overview; sensitive to weekday noise.
- 14 days
- Two weeks for a short trend.
- 28 days
- A convenient standard for comparison and Google cycles.
- 90 days
- A more stable seasonal picture.
- From / To / Show
- A manual calendar. “Show” applies the chosen interval.
Top KPIs and chips
GSC adds clicks, impressions, CTR and the GSC average position. GA adds organic sessions, users, engagement and key events. Chips show a comparison, a daily average or a strong day depending on the card.
Chart
The daily lines should be compared over the same period. The latest GSC/GA days may be incomplete because of Google’s delay.
Weekday fold
The day-of-week section groups Mon–Sun and helps you avoid taking the typical weekend dip for an SEO problem. The fold control collapses the section without losing data.
Landings fold
Landing pages show the first URL in an organic GA session. The paths are links to the live site; the first 10 rows are visible, the rest behind “See more”. The period of the landing snapshot may follow the latest Analytics refresh, not every custom calendar.
AI assistants
The block counts GA sessions with a recognized referrer from ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants. Google AI Overview clicks usually stay in Google organic. In detail: AI sessions.
By day
The list is like a table: date + columns Clicks, Impressions, CTR, Pos. (GSC) and, with Analytics available, Org. sessions. Hover over a label or number for a short tooltip. “Pos.” is the GSC average position for the day, not a rank tracker. With Search Console connected, click a day to expand the top queries for that date — on-demand data from Google, with no wallet cost.
Practical analysis
- 1Choose 28 days
Provides a stable baseline window.
- 2Check freshness
If the latest days are missing, refresh GSC/Analytics and account for Google’s delay.
- 3Compare clicks and sessions as a trend
Do not expect equal absolute values.
- 4Open a day for queries
See which phrases brought clicks/impressions on exactly that date.
- 5Open landings
Find URLs with traffic but weak engagement/conversions.
- 6Check weekday
Separate a seasonal/weekly pattern from an anomaly.
- 7Review AI assistants separately
Do not compare them directly with AI Tracker statuses.
Questions & answers
Why are the KPI cards different for two projects?
One may have only GSC, and the other GA as well.
Why does a custom period not change the landings table?
Landings may be a snapshot from the latest Analytics sync. Read the period shown in the section.
Why is the last day low?
It is probably incomplete. Wait for Google to finalize the data.
Does opening a day for top queries cost anything?
Not from the wallet / DataForSEO. A single request is made to the Google Search Console API for the selected day (top ~20 phrases).
